About Acupressure
Acupressure is an ancient Chinese technique based on the principles of acupuncture, and involves the use of finger pressure (without needles) on specific points
along the body. Acupressure massage therapy stimulates the circulatory, muscular, nervous, immune and lymphatic systems and activates the body's own energies to help fight illness and restore harmony.
Acupressure can help alleviate backache, repetitive strain injury, asthma, headaches, migraines, toothache, fatigue, sinus problems, menstrual pain, digestive
problems, eyestrain, anxiety, irritability, insomnia, depression. It can also help remove toxins, reduce stiffness and improve flexibility.
Using acupressure techniques we work the muscular structure around the
head, neck, shoulders, back and arms helping relieve stress and tension.
The treatment is carried out with the client seated on a
specially designed massage chair. Treatments can last 10, 15 or 20 minutes and are
carried out through the clients clothing, as we do not use any oils or lotions.
A treatment can be done anywhere - although a quiet room/area allows for better results:

To ensure your safety the therapist needs to be aware of any contraindications that prevent the client from receiving a treatment. It's important that you let the therapist know about any health problems you have, medications you are taking, allergies, pregnancy, and recent injuries. Recent operations and a history of certain conditions may need permission from your GP.
